The week and the month of July ends today, just like that! I remember vividly that i celebrated my birthday a few days ago. Did you miss that? Did you forget to drop birthday wishes for me? It's never too late to show some love. I also got a blogger award, celebrated 10months on blogosphere and completed a decor project. July was indeed good to me! I can't wait to share my August mega blessings with you!
I am currently working on a decor project and after providing my client with the initial quotation, she opted to work just on her living room.
I understand perfectly, i am not complaining but what if it's a new apartment with zero decor updates? Will they be sleeping in the living room? What happens to the bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, etc? When will they be worked on to function optimally?
So i am throwing the question to you: What if you just moved into an apartment with a lean budget to work on, which room will you decorate first?

For me, my decor would be prioritized from my living room, then I'll shift focus to the kitchen, for my sake and that of ma woman... (for obvious reasons).
The bedroom will be considered later.

First, happy birthday lovely! I hope had a great time! I moved in with my husband 8 years ago to his old house which was built in 1910. We were very tight and the house is empty. I was super excited after I learned about yard sale. We bought most of the things at yard sales and I even picked up a few trash others throw away. And then fixed and finished the look. We did our bedroom first because I wanted it to be done before our wedding. ;)

I'll decorate the bedroom first, then kitchen. The bedroom is where the most fun happens - from resting to sleeping to ... then the kitchen is my 'home office'
The sitting room will happen later, after all if I don't invite some over, no one will know it ain't decorated. *winks*
I would say the living room got the vote but in my opinion, i'll decorate my bedroom first because I spend more time there and since I wouldn't be sleeping in the living room I would love my bedroom to be cozy. Then my bathroom cos that's one of my favourite places followed by the living room. And like trendymother said if I don't invite a guest over, who cares? The kitchen takes d next stage (I'm not a fan of the kitchen though but I churn out great meals) then the rest of the rooms can come later. Thank you all for your comments/opinion

If push comes to shove, I'll chose to have the living room done first, it's called a "living" room for a reason, lol
Depending on the lay-out of the house, It's usually the first room that one steps into when they enter a house, so the ambience of the area, sets the tone.
In my case, the living room doubles up as my sewing work area at home, so I'm quite partial towards that area of the house :-)
