5 Ways to Make Your Small Space LIVABLE

Are you living in or moving into a small space? Frankly, living in a small space can pose a challenge, but with a few new ideas and a creative spirit, you can maximize and uplift even the smallest living quarters.
Who defined small by the way? It all boils down to how efficient and functional you make your home feel. I've lived in some small spaces I had to teach myself what really works. My last apartment as a single lady was the smallest ever (i lived there for good 4years) but it worked perfectly for me.

Here are 5 simple ways to help you live in your small apartment without messing with your renter's limitations:

  • Paint: Whoever told you that an "all-white color" palette will make an apartment look larger. He lied! This is a common misconception of small space design and i will put simply "there are no color rules for small spaces" Do your thing, if you want your room to feel light and airy (try a cool color) or warm and cozy (veer toward richer and warmer) or maybe you're craving a little drama (go over board with bold) but make sure it's personal and appeals to you.

The Big Reveal: Decor Project Completed

Hello Homeowners,
It's been a while i know. How have we been?

Recall we saw a sneak peak of an ongoing decor project here. Today, i am excited to announce to you that we have a complete reveal as promised. Remembering how this project started, i am glad that my client is very much excited about the new look just as i am.

I visited the "house of focus" on the 12th of July to have a look at the project, discuss ideas and needs and initiate a contract but before then, she has sent the "before" pictures below:

Blog Feature + A Sneak Peak

Hurray!!! Today is our 11month blog anniversary and we have a blog feature.

Oyinlola Sobowale is my blog crush and has become so many things to me in such a short time; a friend and a client. I cherish relationships a lot and with my business, it goes beyond the contract. I get to know my clients and their personality, this helps you as a decorator to pull together personal details and work them into the final vision of their home.

She was one of the winners of the last giveaway (yea, she got one of the cutest pillows i made and she adores it) and guess what? I am doing a decor makeover for her new home. There's a book shelve in Oyinlola's living room that i wanted to do away with but in getting to know her, i understand she loves to read a lot and cherishes that piece so, instead of doing away with it, it shall find a way in her space.
