Which Is Your Favourite Window Treatment Style?

Hello Homeowners,

How are we today? I know a lot of us are expecting this month's giveaway. I know right??? It shall not pass you by!
I just want to talk a little about window treatments and to find out how much you know about them. So let's educate ourselves while having fun.

Window treatment is an interior decorating element placed on, in, around, or over a window. Often, the goal is to install the elements which enhance the aesthetics of the window and the room.
Treatment coverings may include hard treatments such as wooden shutters, blinds or shades and soft treatments such as curtains or drapery as shown below:

Window treatments need to be chosen with careful planning to create that tempting ambiance where the openings are awaited to be opened and they should be chosen based on the theme of your home. For instance, opting for honeycomb shades can make a small room look spacious and airy. However, curtains and drapes would be good for bigger spaces to help draw attention to other aspects of a home’s interior.

Which is your favorite window treatment style? List at least 5 more window treatments you know and where they are best suited for. The best answer wins our November giveaway. YES!!!! You heard right.

This is Beautiful, Nkem.
Good window treatment speaks volume of your space, enhancing its beauty and essence. In this part of the world, curtains and drapes are most common. A good interior designer will kill it with a Pelmet to complement; I feel they fit our regular leaving room space the most.
Blinds (and/or Shades) also perform wonders. The Roman shades with a perfect fabrique will fit a country home best. Vertical (Venetian) blinds will suit offices with large space area, while horizontal (wooden or PVC) blinds for small office spaces. I would prefer to use Roller Blinds for Hotel room windows, while vision blinds would be so great in those areas with great out-view.

The important thing about window treatments is that when used rightly, speaks volume of your style and class.

Nkem, where do I stand?

Thanks Ugo. While I agree with you that curtains and drapery are common in this part of the world. A whole lot of people are embracing the venetian and faux in their homes (I am one of them *grins*)
For where you stand, I'm doing a giveaway in July which happens to be my birthday so, be on the look out. Cheers
